Dr. Lis Suarez Visbal is an ASHOKA Fellow and a leading researcher in circular economy, just transitions, and systems change. With over 15 years of experience, she has worked across Europe, Africa, Asia, North and South America, bringing a deep understanding of sustainable economic development in both local and global contexts.

Lis holds a Phd in Circular Economy and Social Impact plus a Master’s in Sustainable Business and Innovation, and a  Bachelor’s in Finance and Development. Her work bridges research and practice—mobilising stakeholders, managing complex projects, and driving collective action in highly feminized value chains. Her dedication to inclusive, regenerative solutions earned her the ASHOKA Fellowship.
